Foiled day...except foil dinners
Ok, so day 1 didn't start out exactly as I planned. I ended up having to ride to work with my husband which means getting up and out of the house (with 2 little boys) before 5am. Sooooo I didn't get any breakfast/lunch made to take with me....so we wont talk about that.
I did however get my starting stats....so I will post beginning stats and pictures at the end of this post.
For dinner, I did do pretty well. We cooked on the grill and I made a foil mix of red potatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, and a little bit of chicken. Added a little olive oil and some seasoning and put it on the grill...Yummmo!!

Yummy Paleo treats!
So this weekend I finally gathered all the ingredience I need for a couple sweet treat Paleo recipes Ive been wanting to try!! And wowza!! They were YUMMMY!! So I thought I would share! On was Paleo fudge. It is peanut butter and cocoa chocolate so its not strictly chocolate fudge, but I thought it was delicious! Here is the link to the recipe
Another one I tried was for Paleo Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies....these were even better than the fudge. The recipe doesn't make many, and I ate them all in 2 days! :) And still lost weight!! :D
Hope you all like them as much as I did!! Even my kids liked the cookies! I didn't let them try my fudge! I wanted some saved for me for another day! :)
Wow, been a long while since I took time to blog! I have recently started a new phase of my life more commonly known as going PALEO! I was scared to death at first, but really its not as hard as it would seem! I dont crave sweets or bread or any of the things I use to crave all the time! So I decided I will start posting some of the yummy recipes I come across her...mainly so I can keep track of them all, but also to help others who may want them as well! So look for posts to happen a lot more frequently!

Kickstart Week Results are IN!
Soooo...weigh in day from my kickstart week are here! Although I am very frustrated because mother nature hates me and decided I needed a 2nd period this month so I am sure that hurt my results, I am still extremely happy with them!!! Here they are!!!
Starting weight: 212
Waist 37"
Hips 50"
Right Arm 14.5"
Left Arm 14"
Right Thigh 28.5"
Left Thigh 29"
RESULTS:
Weight 205 (Yes thats right, Im down SEVEN POUNDS in one week!!!)
Waist 35.5"
Hips 49"
Right Arm 14"
Left Arm 14"
Right Thigh 28.5
Left Thigh 28"
So, I am down 7 lbs and 4 inches in 1 week...NOT TOO SHABBY!! I am so thrilled with those results. And since Aunt Flow came to visit Im sure that made my results a little less than they would have been, so hopefully next Monday I will see another great result! I am keeping going with Jillian Michaels Body Revolution, but Im out of the kickstart week now so it wont be quite so strict! Thank goodness!! I will keep posting my result here so you can see how well this program works! So excited!

Week 1 Day 4 Body Revolution
I am halfway there! Its not been quite as bad as I thought it was going to be. I have added an extra snack so that I have the energy to make it through the workouts, and so that I dont feel like Im gonna chew my arm off! If that makes me lose a tiny bit less Im ok with that. I dont want to starve all week then binge when the week is over cuz then whats the point? So, I did my workout last night and it was great! I didn't workout this morning cuz hubby is sick so I was up late. So I will just do both workouts this evening. I will of course still walk on both my breaks here at work. And since I missed this morning workout I will push extra hard on those walks...thinking speed walking with incline. That should break a good sweat! So excited to see the number on the scale Monday! Usually Im not this excited cuz I haven't been seeing the numbers I want, but this week Im SO excited! When you know you are doing what you need to do, those weigh ins aren't as intimidating!

Week 1 Day 3 Body Revolution
Ok, so yesterday was day 2...on day 1 I didn't feel hungry at all, but on day 2 I started to get hungry. And during my evening workout I felt kinda weak, so I added a little to the diet plan in order to pick myself up. Doing so I still stayed within my calorie range for SP so I am good with it. Today I also decided to add in a protein bar as a morning snack to help fuel me through my workouts. It only adds 190 calories and since her kickstart plan only gives you 1200 Im not gonna sweat that. I broke down and got on the scale this morning even tho I told myself I wouldn't, and let me just say I am so excited for Monday to see my "official" weigh in! I wont spoil it by telling you what I lost but it made me want to jump up and down! And its only been two days! Loving it!
So far this morning of day 3 I did a 2 mile run, with 10 minutes of warm up and cool down walking. Throughout the day I plan on doing 15 minute walks on my 2 breaks, and then doing Jillians workout this evening.
I decided to start doing this kickstart plan not because I want to eat this way forever, but because I think getting that good kick start will help with my motivation, and because I have a float trip coming up in 2 weeks and 2 days and I want to lose as much as I can before having to wear a bathing suit!

Week 1 Day 2 Body Revolution
Well, yesterday went really well! I am very proud of myself that I could lay my head on the pillow last night and know that I did exactly what I was planning. I followed the plan exactly and made it through a whole day! Which for me is a major thing cuz I am the queen of "small cheats" A small peice of chocolate here and there...a diet pop when I say Im quitting pop...things like that always seem to creep in on me. I still lose but not as quickly as I could. So a whole day of NO cheating is AMAZING! And I wasn't starving! I was pretty suprised about that. Cuz you get to eat enough, but its a LOT of greens and I was afraid I would be hungry. I wasn't hungry, I had the energy to make it through all the workouts...and I woke up this morning ready to do it again! Im really excited to see the number on the scale at the end of this week!
Monday, May 7, 2012
Ok, so here goes! I had my first kickstart breakfast this morning...it wasn't bad actually! I felt totally satisfied...now how I will feel in a few hours Im not sure, but for now I feel great! Here are my stats for today the start of my kickstart week:
Weight 212.6
Waist 37"
Hips 50"
Right Arm 14.5"
Left Arm 14"
Right Thigh 28.5"
Left Thigh 29"
Jeans size 17 (but they are a tad loose)
Not very pretty but thats where I am. Hopefully in a week those numbers will look better!
Now, I should probably mention that based on my schedule I have had to modify the workouts a bit. She says to do the "Workout 1" in the morning and "Cardio 1" in the evening. I have no possible way of doing a video in the morning. My baby is asleep in my room, and my babysitter is asleep in my living room. Sooo, I am doing 30 minutes of cardio at the gym in the mornings, just so Im not doing nothing. Either a run, or 30 minutes on the elyptical. Then in the evening I will do both the Workout 1 and cardio 1. So I will actually be burning a bit more calories than was designed, but I dont want to do nothing in the morning because I think she has it set up that way so that you will kick start you metabolism in the morning. AND I dont want to just do my own cardio and skip hers because her videos are designed to work you into her tougher moves that come later so i dont want to miss that. So, all that being said,I will check in again at the end of week 1 with more stats and updates. Also, at the end of the 90 days on this plan I will post before and after pics as well.
Thursday, May 3, 2012
Ok, so starting Monday, May 7th I am going to do Jillian Michaels Body Revolution Kickstart week!!! I am TERRIFIED! I have been doing her workouts for almost a week now and they are great! Definately difficult, but nothing I cant finish. But my eating has been my struggle. So I decided, I can do ANYTHING for 1 week right? And she says that it will kick start you metabolism and get you ready for the rest of her plan. So Im going to do her kickstart week exercises and eating plan and see how it goes. She says that you can lose up to a pants size in that one week if done right....so Im hoping for good results! I will post here my starting weight and measurements on Monday, then add weekly updates on how its going.

FREE Enterprise
Wow, been way to long since Ive posted anything! The reason for my new found zest for blog writing today is that I recently completed a 10 page research paper on Free Enterprise. This research was very informative for me. I LOVED it, and thats saying something because I do NOT like writing. In a formal way I mean. What all of this research taught me is that while the media may play it up as this is all something new and enovative, the fight for a FREE america, as opposed to a SOCIALIST America is not a new thing! Its been going on for centuries! A book I picked up to help in my research was written in the 60's!! And it was covering a LOT of the same stuff that my book from last year covered! This is not new, you are not SO smart to think up fighting "greed", and you are not the smartest to ever try it either Occupy movement. You are a bunch of childish, spoiled brats who are trying to get something for nothing by taking on the stance of those who have come before you. And to be honest, those who came before you would be ASHAMED of who you are and how you behave. Just sayin...

Little bit of humor for the day
Parallels for all of you who have made disparaging remarks about President Obama, please read the following.
I'm sure most of us have read the so-called comparison of Lincoln and Kennedy, but did you ever consider the relationship between
Obama and Lincoln -- You might be surprised.
Parallels of Abraham Lincoln and Barack Hussein Obama:
1. Lincoln placed his hand on the Bible for his inauguration. Obama used the same Bible.
2. Lincoln came from Illinois. Obama comes from Illinois.
3. Lincoln served in the Illinois Legislature. Obama served in the Illinois Legislature.
4. Lincoln had very little experience before becoming President. Obama had very little experience before becoming President.
5. Lincoln rode the train from Philadelphia to Washington for his inauguration. Obama rode the train from Philadelphia to
Washington for his inauguration.
6. Lincoln was a skinny lawyer. Obama is a skinny lawyer.
7. Lincoln was a Republican. Obama is a skinny lawyer.
8. Lincoln was in the United States military. Obama is a skinny lawyer.
9. Lincoln believed in everyone carrying their own weight. Obama is a skinny lawyer.
10. Lincoln did not waste taxpayers' money on personal enjoyments. Obama is a skinny lawyer.
11. Lincoln was highly respected. Obama is a skinny lawyer.
12. Lincoln was born in the United States . Obama is a skinny lawyer.
13. Lincoln was honest, so honest he was called Honest Abe. Obama is a skinny lawyer

Human Rights???
Since when did everything become a "human right"? Having health insurance is a human right, getting a college education is a human right, having a well paying job is a human right....I mean REALLY????? What happened to you have to work hard to get the things you want?? Lifes not fair...GROW UP and take responsibility for your own life! Why should kids be allowed to be on their parents insurance until they are 26 years old? Im sorry, but last I checked 18 was legal adult age! If you are old enough to vote, or go to war for your country, or decide you dont want to go to college because you are smart enough already, you are old enough to go out, get a job, and get your own insurance! If you cant afford it, sorry about your luck! Work your way up to where you can!!! If everyone is handed everything because it is a "human right" then what drives one to succeed?? If you dont want for anything, why work for anything? My generation, and even more the generation after me are so spoiled and self rightous they have been taught by their parents that the world/country/human race owes them something! WTH?? No one owes you anything! Blacks in this day and age have never been slaves. Get over it! Indians in this day and age didnt have their land stripped from them! Everones ancestors at some point had it rough...we are all spoiled and pampered now so why should a person who spends their life working their ass off to get what they want and to have the life they want, PAY for someone who has no desire to do anything for themself??

We are LOSING HER!
What is happening to her? Our beautiful America we have all grown up with is disappearing before our very eyes. This man that has been appointed our "Leader" is tearing her apart limb from limb. And although he would like to think he is the all powerful, he is not doing it alone. All the "liberals" and "progressives" are fueling the fire. They think they are pushing "freedom" and "choice" but what they are really doing is taking away everyone's right to think for themselves. They think that the government will take the money and "redistribute the wealth"....This country has always been one where people work HARD to gain wealth! If you work your entire life to get your little piece of the pie, and then the government comes and take it all and "redistributes" it to those who have refused to work for anything then where is the motivation to strive? I know life isn't fair, but in this country you could always make or break yourself...there is no such thing as luck, you have to work for what you have! This new generation of spoiled, self indulgent, self righteous brats that think they are entitled to have everything yet never work for anything. They are giving Obama every stepping stone he needs to STEAL their freedom and their liberty and they are LETTING HIM DO IT!! In fact they are HELPING him do it!
It makes my heart hurt to watch all of the small things he is doing that slip right under the radar and inch him closer and closer to his goal. Destroying this great country. We fought so hard against communism when it was blatant and apparent. Now, even though it is blatant and apparent to some, because they have been dumbing down our children in these liberal schools, they don't see it! They don't see the irreparable damage that is being done to our Republic! This man that is leading our country calls those who do not agree with him ENEMIES and people ignore it. He lets the Muslims who have attacked our country enter and leave without so much as a 2nd look because of their "religion" but anyone else has to be violated in the name of "security" to get on a plane! We do not follow Shari law in America! If you want to follow Shari law, stay in your own damn country!!! If you come to America, and want to get on a plane, you have to follow the same laws as everyone else!
I have 4 young boys. What their future will hold is such a scary thought for me. I am raising them to be responsible, ethical, and independent. Not to depend on anyone else for what they need but to earn it themselves! Just because my generation was raised by lazy parents who would rather give kids what they want than take the time to teach them how to earn it does not mean those kids should be handed everything by the gov't when they are adults! If they don't know how to earn it, then they can learn to do without it! If they are actually made to be uncomfortable for a period of time, maybe they will get off of their lazy butts and DO SOMETHING to help themselves! But our great mr president (yes I realize I did NOT capitalize that) makes them think they don't have to! They don't have to work for anything, they don't need to go to college and learn anything, they don't need to strive for greatness in anything because if they want to sit home and be lazy, that is A-OK because the gov't, and my children who will work their asses off, will pay to take care of them!!
I feel every day like I am in mourning for an America we have lost. An America my children will never get to know. And while some have no idea of the repercussions of what they are supporting, I know...I see what is coming and It scares the living hell out of me. But we cannot give up the fight. As America has proven by this most recent election, we are sick of obama and his drones stealing our freedom. I just pray every day that we can move things in the right direction and fix at least some of the damage that has already been done. And I pray every day that when the presidental election comes, the voice of this country is heard in spades as we vote that man OUT of office!!!!!
